Market wrap: VN-Index climbs 1.1%, led by banks

On Wednesday, the VN-Index increased 1.1% — its second day in a row of closing up by more than 1% — as foreign investors were net buyers for the second consecutive session and large-cap stocks performed well. 

* Bank stocks had a positive impact on the overall index as BID (+2.3%), VPB (+4.3%), CTG (+1.4%), ACB (+2.0%) and EIB (+4.6%) were all among the top contributors to the day’s gain. 

* MSN (+2.7%) has jumped 8.1% over the last two days. 

* VRE (+2.4%) climbed for the third day in a row.
