Market wrap: Vingroup tickers bounce back, VN-Index climbs
On Friday, the VN-Index concluded the last session before next week’s three-day holiday by rising nine-tenths of a percent. For the week, the VN-Index gained sixth-tenths of a percent; however, it finished April down 1.5%.
* Vingroup tickers VHM (+4.2%), VIC (+3.2%) and VRE (+2.6%) rebounded from their tumble earlier this week.
* Banks were mixed. VPB (+2.6%), SSB (+4.4%), CTG (+1.8%) and TPB (+3.2%) were all among the day’s top contributing gainers. Meanwhile, BID (-0.9%), TCB (-1.3%), OCB (-2.5%), HDB (-1.0%), LPB (-1.4%) and EIB (-1.0%) dropped.
* Port operator GMD (-2.4%) declined for the first time in three days.
