Market wrap: VN-Index slides after two positive days

The VN-Index dropped two-tenths of a percent on Wednesday and snapped a two-day winning streak as 24 of the large-cap VN30 Index’s components decreased.

* GAS (-1.0%) ended a three-session winning streak and was the top contributor to the day’s loss.

* HPG (-1.2%) retreated after climbing 3.4% in the previous two days.

* Banks CTG (-1.2%), BID (-0.6%), TCB (-0.9%), VPB (-0.5%) and STB (-1.4%) were all among the day’s top contributing laggards.

* Industrial real estate developer BCM (+2.2%) has jumped 35.8% over the past month.

* Real estate tickers DIG (+2.8%), DXG (+3.7%) and DXS (+6.8%) experienced strong gains.
