Market wrap: VIC extends slump, but VN-Index inches up 

The VN-Index inched up by a tenth of a percent on Thursday and notched its fifth straight positive session despite conglomerate Vingroup falling for the fourth day in a row. 

  • GAS (+1.8%) bounced back from its 3.5% loss on Wednesday and was the top contributor to the day’s gain. 
  • Power company PGV (+6.3%) surged in its HOSE debut. 
  • VIC (-2.0%) has slumped more than 13% so far this week. Vingroup subsidiary VHM (-1.7%) also declined. 
  • DIG (+6.9%) hit the trading ceiling for the second day in a row. 
  • Consumer tickers MSN (+2.1%) and SAB (+2.0%) advanced.
