The VN-Index ended its six-session winning streak on Thursday, falling 1% as news spread about the discovery of several new COVID-19 cases in Ho Chi Minh City. Bank tickers cooled off after posting significant gains in previous sessions, led by VCB (-1.7%), BID (-2.7%), TCB (-2.6%), CTG (-2.5%) and MBB (-2.7%). On the other hand, EIB (+7.0%) has skyrocketed more than 17% so far this week; VIB (+1.3%), LPB (+3.1%) and STB (+1.0%) also advanced.
