The VN-Index climbed 2.9% on Tuesday, bouncing back from Monday’s steep fall, as investors picked up shares before the long Tet break. VIC (+5.1%) was the top contributor the day’s gain. Vingroup subsidiaries VHM (+2.2%) and VRE (+2.1) also advanced. The banking sector surged, led by gains from VCB (+3.3%), VPB (+6.9%), CTG (+4.0%) and TCB (+2.9%). VNM (+2.6%), SAB (+3.6%) and MSN (+3.6%) climbed back from declines on Monday.
