Market wrap: Stocks inch down, but VN-Index ends six-week losing streak 

The VN-Index inched down by less than a tenth of a percent on Friday, ending a three-day winning streak as trading turnover on HOSE dropped for the sixth consecutive session. Nevertheless, the VN-Index increased 4.9% for the week, which snapped a six-week losing streak and marked its biggest weekly gain since October 25-29, 2021. 

*  Brewer SAB (-3.9%) was the leading contributor to the day’s loss. 

*  MSN (-2.4%) retreated after surging 22.4% over the previous three days.

*  GAS (-1.2%) ended a three-day winning streak. 

*  GVR (+3.3%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. 

*  Real estate developers DIG (+6.3%) and DXG (+5.7%) posted strong increases.
