Market wrap: Stocks drop as foreign net sales value surges 

The VN-Index slid six tenths of a percent on Tuesday as foreign investors net sold USD61.28mn worth of stocks — the highest amount in nearly four weeks. 

  • VHM (-3.3%) has plunged 7.5% over the last two days. 
  • Brewer SAB (-4.0%) slumped to its lowest share price in more than 17 months. 
  • GAS (-1.9%) has dropped in four out of the past five trading sessions. 
  • Most banks were down, led by TCB (-1.3%) and CTG (-1.4%). Meanwhile, LPB (+4.0%) climbed for its third straight session. 
  • Steel tickers HPG (+1.9%), HSG (+4.5%) and NKG (+5.1%) increased.
