Market wrap: Foreign investors extend net buying streak, but VN-Index falls for fourth straight session

The VN-Index edged down by four-tenths of a percent on Wednesday, extending its losing streak to four consecutive sessions as foreign investors continued to be strong net buyers to the tune of USD71.7mn. 

* VIC (-1.8%) dropped for its 10th session in a row and was the top contributor to the day’s loss. 

* GAS (-1.2%) declined for the third straight day. 

* Real estate developer NVL (-6.7%) has plunged 16.5% so far this week. 

* Banks VPB (+2.0%), STB (+4.9%) and ACB (+1.1%) were all among the day’s top contributing gainers. On the other hand, CTG (-1.8%) fell. 

* VNM (+1.3%) advanced to a two-week high.
