Market wrap: VN-Index slides 1% as banks, real estate tickers drop 

The VN-Index fell 1% on Monday with trading value on HOSE surging to a three-week high of USD1.44bn as investors sold off banking and real estate tickers. 

  • Banks were down across the board, led by BID (-4.3%), STB (-5.3%) and VPB (-1.4%). 
  • FLC (-6.8%) and related stocks ROS (-7.0%) and AMD (-7.0%) plunged to the daily trading floor. 
  • The real estate sector struggled as VHM (-1.3%), GVR (-2.4%), DIG (-7.0%) and NVL (-1.3%) were among the top contributors to the day’s loss. 
  • VNM (-2.4%) has fallen in five straight sessions. 
  • MWG (+3.7%) has gained 7.5% over the last two sessions. 
  • Fertilizer manufacturer DCM (+4.0%) extended its winning streak to seven sessions.
