KBC released disappointing Q3 2020 results with revenue plunging 78% YoY to VND202bn (USD8.7mn) and a loss of VND21bn (USD905,000) compared to NPAT-MI of VND110bn (USD4.7mn) in Q3 2019. In addition to plunge in the top line, KBC’s Q3 2020 weak results were further driven by a 33% YoY surge in financial expenses as its gross debt balance as of the end Q3 increased 37% to VND2.9tn (USD125mn) compared to the balance as of the end of Q3 2019.
